Sales Stupidity
This next one is definitely a problem with people who are cheap, but it’s also just a problem with people who aren’t super financially literate—which, honestly, is most of us, because most American schools do not teach financial literacy well (but that’s a soapbox for another time).

This is a really important point that more people need to understand. We’re so conditioned to get excited by sales that sometimes we make really terrible decisions regarding them, i.e. buying something that we don’t actually need just because it’s on sale. Just because you saved money on the purchase doesn’t mean you’re coming out ahead.
