Chump Change
I think I was in my late 20s before it finally really occurred to me that my time has a monetary value. If I’m spending time doing something when I could be spending that time working for a wage, I need to make sure that whatever I’m doing is worth the money I’m missing out on.

Taking care of my house and my health? Sure. Hanging out with friends? Definitely. Riding my bike all over town in the hopes of collecting $0.64 in change? Absolutely not. If getting some spare change is that important to you, you could get significantly more money by getting a job decorating cakes at your local grocery store.
