It’s Technically True
We’re not sure if this tactic for taking time off would count as a loophole, but our storyteller is pretty proud of it, so we’ll share. They love to list their reason for taking time off as “going out of town.” Most people use this as a vague but reasonable excuse for using their PTO. However, our storyteller is very, very literal.

They live in a different city than their company’s office. When they list “going out of town” as their reason for PTO, they’re just chilling at home. They’re technically not lying, right? They really are “out of town” since they live in a different city. Yeah, we know it’s not the most clever loophole. People get their kicks where they can.
