39. It’s Not Like That Anywhere Else?
The best part about British English, however, is how Lieutenant is pronounced (lef-tenant). I don’t know why they do it that way. There is absolutely no logic to it if you look at how it’s spelled, but it sounds way fancier and more entertaining than Lieutenant.

When you put an American and a Brit in the room, sometimes you’d be forgiven to wonder if they are speaking the same language given how big the differences are, and we won’t even go into Scots, who have their own lingo entirely. Language is fun, and English especially, given it’s such a hodgepodge of different ones.
