The moon is a curious entity, being the closest celestial object to our planet. For eons, it has fascinated us with its ever-changing shape, color, and position. It’s downright mystical. But what’s up with it? Is it really changing? Well, no.

A lot of it comes down to light bending and forming an illusion. This is why its size can change and appear closer or farther, and its color can go from white to yellow to even orange during certain phases.
