We all have our favorite pair of go-to leggings that we slip on after a long day. Most of us didn’t spend $100,000 on our beloved pair, though! Beyoncé and Balenciaga took leggings to the next level in 2007 when the musical superstar was reported to have purchased a pair of the brand’s leggings at an unspeakable price.  

Bey received some backlash and criticism for spending so much on such a simple piece of clothing, but it turned out to be part of a larger plan. Beyoncé was seen sporting the pair of Balenciaga leggings during her 2007 BET performance. Her outfit and performance stole the show, mostly because we learned that the leggings were made of real gold.
