While it’s not the most professional or responsible way to go about things, it’s hard not to appreciate the cleverness of leaving behind a mess of dirty dishes and then making a quick exit with some tasty snacks in hand. However, burning bridges like this can have serious consequences, both in terms of reputation and future job opportunities. 

But sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it can be hard to think about the long-term consequences. All in all, while it’s not a strategy that I would recommend, it’s certainly an entertaining story to tell at parties. Who knows, maybe this person’s exit will go down in the company’s history as the stuff of legends!
