Fuelled by frustration, this individual reached their breaking point and abruptly abandoned their post, severing all ties with the office. What unfolded next can only be described as an inexplicable sequence of events. Days turned into weeks, which then stretched into an unimaginable four-month period, with the employee’s absence going unnoticed by their manager.
Remarkably, throughout this entire time, the company diligently continued depositing paychecks into the employee’s account, blissfully unaware of their vanishing act. Astonishingly, even after the employee’s absence was realized, it took an additional two months before the company finally grasped the peculiarity of the situation and halted the flow of payments.
