I’m a recent convert to coupons, but man, do I love them. My local grocery store has an app where I can check out weekly deals, make shopping lists, and clip coupons; it makes everything really easy because I don’t have to keep track of paper coupons.

The way I motivate myself is by turning it into a competition. The store prints on the receipts how much you saved using coupons and deals, expressed as a percentage of the total purchase price, and I’m always trying to beat my personal best for savings. It’s currently 31%.
