There have been posts in this list that I have agreed with and posts that I have disagreed with. But this was the first time where I rolled my eyes so hard that I saw the back of my own skull. Look, I might agree with this if you absolutely cannot live anywhere near your work site—like maybe it’s way up on top of a mountain or something.

But in the overwhelming majority of situations, you can live near your job, so if you choose to live farther away and that means your commute is long, I don’t really see how that’s the company’s fault. And if you can’t afford to live near your job on the money they pay you, that job might not be a good fit for you.
