It’s time for the great debate: debit versus credit cards. As it turns out, people have some pretty strong opinions about which one is better. According to a survey by CreditCards.com, 44% of Americans prefer to use their debit card for everyday purchases, while 33% prefer to use their credit card.

I’ve been guilty of using their credit card a little too much in the past – hello, impulse Amazon purchases! It’s a slippery slope. But on the other hand, using a credit card responsibly can also help you build up your credit score and earn rewards points. But hey, at least we’ve got options.
