No Sneaking Things Past Grandpa
Honestly, the grandpa in this one doesn’t seem all that unreasonable, at least where the ice cream is concerned. But maybe I only feel that way because I grew up in a family with a lot of children and not a lot of money, so when we got ice cream, it had to be divvied up very carefully because we didn’t have much, and we didn’t want anyone crying that they got stiffed.

So honestly, carving your initials in the top of the ice cream to make sure the kids didn’t get in and eat any more sounds perfectly reasonable to me, although it may sound terrible to you rich kids who could afford things like “enough ice cream.” Drinking jam water is freaking insane, though.
