Hospitable or Hostile?
We’ve talked about how your frugality might tip over the line into cheapness if the decisions that you’re making negatively affect not only you but also your family or other people close to you. Well, here’s a very vivid example of that: if your cheapness causes you to not feed your guests enough, then you’ve got a problem.

Hospitality is a matter of huge importance to many different cultures around the world. And being in charge of making sure a guest gets fed but refusing to spend the money to do so is the opposite of hospitality. If that’s the way you’re going to be, then don’t host anyone. It’s as easy as that.
