Internet Users Share Their Two Cents on the Fine Line Between Being Frugal and Being Cheap

This next post is a good example of the difference between frugality and cheapness. Being frugal is an admirable trait (I say smugly, as someone who tries to be frugal); it’s about being thoughtful about where your money goes, instead of just spending without ever thinking or doing research.

Being cheap is about being over the top about it, sometimes to the point that your behavior is unpleasant, unethical, or just plain gross. I sure hope that this is a hypothetical example, rather than a true story from someone’s life. Because if it is real, I cannot imagine how disgusting this person’s clothes are.
