You never know when a dental emergency is going to strike. Problems like these love to pop up at the most inconvenient times. Especially when you’re about to go off and have fun on vacation. This poor storyteller was getting ready to enjoy a ten-day Hawaiian vacation when an old root canal just gave up and stopped doing its job. 

Naturally, she was in incredible pain. The worst part of this whole story is that this dental issue happened on the very first day of her vacation. She didn’t even get to relax on the beach for one day! She spent the rest of her resort-style vacation hopped up on painkillers, half-asleep in her hotel room. Poor thing.
