#8: Ebola Emergency
Ebola is no joke. It’s an extremely contagious and dangerous virus that needs serious medical attention in order to treat and eradicate it. As we’ve all heard on the news, countries go into lockdown and quarantine whenever there’s so much as a small outbreak in their region. In a scary twist of events, this person got swept up in an Ebola quarantine when they were trying to cross the border out of Tanzania.
Because of a recent outbreak, they were detained at the border and forcefully quarantined in an Ebola hospital. Officials needed to determine whether our storyteller was infected, so they were forced to be around people who were already sick until their test results came back. As it turns out, they weren’t sick with Ebola. They just had the privilege of living in stress and fear for a few days, surrounded by other people with a highly contagious virus. Fun stuff.
