#20: Headphones
“Headphones. If you get a good one, you will never regret it. As you know eardrums are very made up of sensitive tissues and bones, you have to take care of it. On top of it you lose sensitivity to lower frequency sounds as you get older. So if you cheap out on headphones, it will hurt you in the long run. So don’t buy cheap imitations or lower quality headphones.”

This is one I’m a little conflicted about, because while people who work in the music industry or listen to music on a daily basis – for business or pleasure – might want to invest in the best quality headphones out there, some people can definitely settle for less. There’s no doubt that opting for cheaper alternatives to save money can result in a compromised audio experience, but sometimes, that’s what we need.
