#30: Coffee Makers
“Coffee makers. My $5 French press can do anything a fancy coffeemaker can do besides froth milk. All the silly bells and whistles (not to mention piles of plastic waste) that come with a fancy coffeemaker running on pods/paper filters/batteries/what have you don’t amount to much when all you need for a cup of coffee is hot water and coffee.”
This person makes a good point; who needs those flashy, high-priced contraptions when you’ve got a trusty $5 French press? It’s a superhero disguised as a humble kitchen tool, capable of brewing liquid gold without breaking the bank. Sure, it might not froth milk like those fancy machines, but who needs pods, paper filters, or batteries when all you need is hot water and the beans themselves?
