#15: Don’t Strain Yourself
Take a second to look at this device. Any guesses as to what it might be? If you guessed that it’s an old-fashioned strainer, you’d be correct. This retro strainer is made entirely of metal and comes with a wooden dowel. It was mostly used to strain jams and stock.
You can pour your softened fruit into the strainer and then use the wooden dowel to press out the juice. The metal stand is pretty nifty. Nowadays, most strainers and colanders just come with a handle. We need to bring this design back. Our arms get tired from holding the strainer over the sink!
