#30: Don’t Take Chances With Your Breathing
Older generations, particularly those raised with “tough it out” attitudes, might minimize or outright ignore concerning health developments. It’s not always conscious neglect – sometimes it stems from fear, misunderstanding, or genuine uncertainty about how much is “too much” to warrant a doctor’s visit. Convincing them otherwise is frustrating, especially with limited time.

In this family, it was the grandfather and his breathing issues. Doctors couldn’t sugarcoat the grim prognosis; earlier answers might have made a difference. But the disease was already far too advanced, stealing this beloved grandfather within weeks. So when they ignore symptoms, we must persist! This isn’t nagging; it’s an act of love.
