36. Who Is Doing That?
I have never even heard of anyone doing this gesture before, let alone now finding out it’s offensive. It seems to have been popularized by The Hunger Games, a popular Young Adult book series that took young adults (and plenty of normal adults) by storm.

It also may have other meanings depending on the culture you go to, not just in Croatia. For example, in Serbia, it’s intended to symbolize the Holy Trinity. At this point, I’m starting to think we might need a comprehensive guide to global hand gestures.
