#32: Bad Timing
Kids get bumps and scrapes; that’s part of the deal. Most of the time, it’s nothing a bandage and a kiss can’t handle. But sometimes, seemingly ordinary injuries take a dangerous turn. Infections have a sneaky way of escalating with shocking speed, and even the toughest kids aren’t immune. Trust those parental instincts and understand that what seems “overly dramatic” might be a child’s body sounding the alarm.
If I only had a dollar for every knee scratch that I ever had as a kid… So, I can empathize with this mom when she dismissed her child’s complaints. But imagine the fear, the hospital stay, the potential for lost limbs, even death… all starting with a little scratch. It’s crazy to think how much of a difference just two days can make.
